What is the Recru-Tec test?
- The Recru-Tec test is a unique pre-employment testing technology that describes the tested applicant’s response to various challenges in the work environment. This assessment screens the applicant for 20 different soft skills. It is the perfect tool for quality control of your recruitment assignments to ensure the best results.
- The Recru-Tec test helps you avoid costly mistakes and problems by providing you with information about the person being evaluated that is essential for assessing his or her future productivity and coaching needs.
What does the Recru-Tec test measure?
The Recru-Tec test is:
– A job-related SOFT SKILLS ASSESSMENT. Since nearly 90% of failed recruitments are due to a lack of specific soft skills, it is important to evaluate whether or not an applicant has the necessary soft skills to be successful in the position for which he/she is applying.
– A PRODUCTIVITY TEST: it reveals personality characteristics of the applicant that will contribute to or hinder his/her optimal performance in the job.
– A REACTIVITY TEST: it measures how the evaluated person will react to specific work-related circumstances in a given work environment.
– A PREDICTION TEST: it helps you predict how the person being evaluated will behave in certain work-related situations that require specific qualities and skills to be resolved.
– A COACHING TOOL: it provides you with valuable information about the best way to guide and support the recruited applicant from the first day of employment.
How/when do you use the Recru-Tec test?
- The Recru-Tec test is NOT used to judge candidates or even to make a hiring decision (based solely on the test results). The main purpose of this laser-accurate diagnostic tool is to provide you with information that is difficult to obtain during job interviews, and to help you get to know and understand the applicant better.
- The best time to use the Recru-Tec test is AFTER an initial face-to-face interview has taken place. If, at the end of that interview, you decide that it is worth continuing with the recruitment process (inviting the applicant back for another interview, etc.), you can inform them that they will receive an email with a link to your test platform account. You then invite them to complete the test before the next step in the recruitment process.
- Ideally, the Recru-Tec test results should be analyzed BEFORE the second interview, as they serve as a strategic tool during the interview to challenge the applicant and to find out whether a number of specific job-related weaknesses present in the test results could hinder his/her success in the vacant position.
- Read the evaluation thoroughly and note down any strengths and areas for improvement that stand out in the profile. Make a list of questions you want to ask the applicant in a second interview. Also make a list of questions you can ask previous employers based on the test results.
